Ben and Jerry's annual Free Cone Day returns in 2024: Here's when it is and what you should know.

Ben & Jerry's is reviving its annual Free Cone Day celebration this spring, and they're asking fans to help them reach an ambitious goal.

The firm hopes that this year's Free Cone Day will be the "biggest and best yet, with 1 million scoops served," according to an announcement made Wednesday.

This year's event will take place on Tuesday, April 16, according to a business press statement.

"It was nothing short of amazing to see our fans back in our shops in their full Free Cone Day glory

Dave Stever, CEO of Ben & Jerry's, who served ice cream at the company's Vermont locations last year.

"We distributed over 970,000 scoops around the world, but we know that with our fans, we can reach 1 million scoops," Stever stated in the news release.

The company stated that the Free Cone Day tradition originated in 1979 as a means to give back to the community and thank supporters for their support.

Flavours may vary per location, but fans are welcome to try all available flavours and are urged to return to the queue as many times as they'd like.
