Moreno will face Democratic incumbent Sen. Sherrod Brown in a tense general election that could determine Senate control.

Donald Trump-endorsed Republican Bernie Moreno moved Tuesday to a general election fight against Sen.

Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), which could decide Senate control.

The Associated Press estimated that Cleveland businessman Moreno defeated state Sen. Matt Dolan, supported by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R), and Secretary of State Frank LaRose (R) by a large margin Tuesday.

Trump's influence on Republican primaries was shown by Moreno's success ahead of an expensive, contentious general election.
