Potato salad is the perfect summer salad recipe. It's creamy, crisp, and refreshing, making it an ideal side dish for barbecues, picnics, potlucks, and parties.

This is my mother's classic recipe, which I've passionately embraced and have been cooking for more than 20 years. I think you will enjoy it as well!

Many individuals have a favorite potato salad recipe passed down through generations, such as German potato salad.

But let me explain why I believe my mother's recipe is the greatest for a typical American summer salad.

First, it is not mushy. I've seen numerous potato salads that resemble mashed potatoes.

But that is a tad too soft for my tastes. Potato salads should be textured, crunchy, and chunky.

Second, it is not watery. It is creamy without being soupy. And that's because the dressing is just ideal for the potatoes.

Finally, it is not a bowl of only beige and yellow. This potato salad combines red potatoes, hard-boiled eggs, celery, radishes, spring onions, dill, and mayonnaise for a colorful and flavorful dish.
