The 16-lap Moto3 race at the Losail International Circuit marked the start of the 2024 MotoGP season.
Pirelli tires were used for the first time, replacing Dunlop as the only rubber provider for the classes of Moto3 and Moto2.

broke through the pack on the final lap of a tumultuous race and attacked long-time leader Daniel Holgado at Turn 16.
Tech3 GasGas rider Holgado, who started from pole, led the final tour after overcoming several hurdles.
With the victory margin just 0.041 seconds,
he left too much leeway inside the final corner for Alonso to pick his pocket.
