Deion Sanders Makes Bold Claim About The 2024 NFL Draft

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders should be pleased with his quarterback situation for the 2024 season. After all, his son Shedeur will once again play center for the Buffaloes.

Sanders addressed a number of football-related issues at a press conference on Wednesday. During his media availability, he stated that Shedeur would have been a "high draft pick" this year if he had gone pro.

"Shedeur, let's get things straight. Let's address the elephant in the room. "Shedeur would have been a high draft pick this year," Sanders told On3. "Let's just stop the foolishness and you get mad when I tell you."

"The only reason I know that is because do you think I know anyone in the NFL? I apologize. I played for how many years, fourteen? I guess I got a gold jacket at the crib.

I believe I know some folks. You're familiar with Jerry Jones and Arthur Blank. I know some people in the game, including the Roger Goodells.

I know some people. So, when I speak, I don't just say whatever comes to mind. "I'm throwing things based on knowledge."

Despite Colorado's 4-8 record this season, Shedeur produced amazing results. He threw for 3,230 yards and 27 touchdowns, completing 69.3% of his throws.

If Shedeur performs similarly this autumn, he has an excellent chance of being a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
