Dortmund aim to keep Sancho for the upcoming season.

Next season, Borussia Dortmund hopes to retain on-loan winger Jadon Sancho with the team.

After a split with Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, in September, Sancho returned to Dortmund in January.

After refusing to provide an apology for his social media response to Ten Hag's allegations that his training efforts were subpar, the England international did not play for United.

After making his debut in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen, Sancho has made ten appearances since returning to Germany.

Last night, he scored the vital early goal as Dortmund defeated PSV Eindhoven to advance to the Champions League round of eight.

Sancho's United deal is set to expire in 2026, with an additional year of contract option.

It was previously believed that Sancho might not be able to return to Dortmund full-time due to the financial burden.

The team, who are fourth in the Bundesliga and competing with the Premier League for a fifth Champions League spot for the upcoming season,

is eager to investigate all options in order to retain Sancho for the 2024–25 campaign.
