The 49ers continue to strengthen their defensive line by acquiring Maliek Collins from the Texans in exchange for a seventh-round pick
The organisation recently released Arik Armstead and will replace him with Collins, Kevin Givens, and Jordan Elliott, who spent last season with the Cleveland Browns.
Elliott specialises in run defence, while Collins is far more effective as a pass rusher. Collins completed 2023 with a career-high seven sacks, 45 pressures, and 12 hurries in 453 pass-rushing snaps.
Collins' greatest performance of the season came in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers, when he recorded four pressures, three sacks, and a hurry.
