Geno Auriemma's critical Paige Bueckers criticism sets the tone for UConn before the NCAA Tournament.  

NCASVILLE, Connecticut — Geno Auriemma, the head coach of the Connecticut women's basketball team, frequently dismisses Paige  

Bueckers as a motivational tool, knowing how much she enjoys proving others wrong.  

But Auriemma spoke out in support of the superstar guard following Monday night's overwhelming 78-42 victory  

Georgetown in the Big East Tournament championship.  

"She almost single-handedly took us to the Final Four and the National Championship game, and it was only two years ago," she added. "How quickly people forget, right  

Paige Bueckers deemed unstoppable while flying under radar for the injured UConn  

During Bueckers' 584-day absence due to injury, the casual national college basketball talk shifted to talents such as Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese  

It has yet to change in many regions of the country, despite Bueckers winning nearly every Big East honour this year.  

he NCAA Tournament could be an excellent opportunity for Bueckers to remind the world of her many talents  

She has already scored at least 27 points in five of her last six games, heeding Auriemma's advice to be more aggressive with her shooting  

Bueckers, on the other hand, must bear an unusually heavy burden due to UConn's frightening injury rate.
