Giants free agency rumours: TE Chris Manhertz, RB A.J. Dillon connected with Giants

The New York Giants have been extremely busy over the first two days of NFL free agency, and they are still trying to fill up their roster depth.

According to reports on Wednesday morning, veteran tight end Chris Manhertz will visit the Giants, and veteran running back A.J. Dillon

Giants strive to fill out their running back room after Saquon Barkley signed with the Eagles.

Manhertz, 32, is an experienced blocking tight end. In eight NFL seasons with the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars

Denver Broncos, and New Orleans Saints, Manhertz has only 26 receptions in 120 regular-season games.

Whether or if Darren Waller, who is pondering retirement, plays, it was expected that the Giants would be looking for a guy like Manhertz.

Aside from Waller, the Giants' other regular player last season was Daniel Bellinger.

Lawrence Cager, a receiver turned tight end who isn't much of an inline blocker, was signed off the practice squad in 2023.
