Kevin Costner has found a fan in Hollywood celeb Luke Wilson

Kevin Costner has just gained a fan, Hollywood actor Luke Wilson.

Wilson told PEOPLE that he'll be working on Costner's two-part American Western, Horizon: An American Saga, which will premiere later this year. When asked about his experience working with Costner, Wilson said, "It was unbelievable."

For those unfamiliar, Costner starred in, produced, and directed this planned two-part American Western, which will depict 15 years of pre- and post-Civil War growth and settlement in the American West.

"It was unbelievable getting hired by Kevin and then, getting the chance to work with him," the 52-year-old added.

Wilson expressed appreciation for the Yellowstone alum's efforts, saying, "For me to get to work with Kevin Costner, I've just never had that kind of experience."

"I've had the opportunity to work with many people from that era. I've got to work with Nick Nolte, James Caan, and Gene Hackman, those famous 1970s actors who my father adored," he added.

However, Wilson stated, "For me, I recall where I was when I saw Fandango. I recall going to the theatre with my first girlfriend to see The Untouchables and Revenge.

"Kevin was one of those folks I realized if he was in it, I would go see it, whatever he made. "I was just a huge fan," he admitted.
