Man Utd has provided a firm response after putting out Mason Greenwood's transfer demands.  

Manchester United has asked Atletico Madrid for more than £50 million for Mason Greenwood, shocking the Spanish club.  

Greenwood, 22, has spent the current season on loan at Getafe and has impressed with eight goals and five assists in 27 games.  

His move to La Liga comes after United conducted an internal probe after the Crown Prosecution Service  

England striker for attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault in February 2023.  

Greenwood on loan for another season, but United have opted to seek a fee for the striker if they are to split ways this summer.   

Greenwood is also said to have attracted interest from a number of other clubs, including Atletico.  

But, according to Spanish site Mundo Deportivo, Diego Simeone's team is taken aback by United's 'outrageous' asking price.   

They claim the Red Devils want £51.3 million for Greenwood, which would be their fourth-most expensive sell ever, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo
