Mocking the Mocks: What Experts Believe the Bears Could Do

The Chicago Bears' strategy is plain now that they've traded quarterback Justin Fields, and while there is still work to be done, all signs point to USC's Caleb Williams

Most analysts have viewed it this way for weeks, and there's no reason why their predictions should change now.

What the Bears do with their other first-round pick is up for debate.

Today, we're highlighting two post-free agency mock drafts from some of the top analysts. The first is ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., and here's what he sees the Bears doing.

Is the mystery gone now? Justin Fields was traded to the Steelers over the weekend for a conditional Day 3

Chicago's quarterback depth chart looks like this: Tyson Bagent and Brett Rypien. During free agency, the team refrained from pursuing veterans.

The Bears are going to choose a passer with this choice, and all signs point to Williams, my top prospect.

What is the benefit to the novice who takes over? On offence, he will be surrounded by solid playmakers.
