Fans have been giddy with anticipation ever since Beyoncé said that the second episode of Renaissance would be released at the end of March.

the new record will be a country music album, drastically departing from the dance-themed Act I.

first, there were only hints. Beyoncé released two teaser singles, Texas Hold 'Em and 16 Carriages.

The lyrics of the first featured references to "rugged whiskey" and hoedowns, an American folk dance style commonly associated with country music.

Additionally, the song itself has a distinct country vibe.

There was a cowboy motif to everything from Beyoncé's outfits to the teaser clip, which featured a group of guys in a desert staring up at a pin-up version of Beyoncé dressed in Western attire.

However, Beyoncé officially confirmed the musical genre this week when she revealed the title of the second "Act" of Renaissance.

Cowboy Carter will be the name of the upcoming album.
