Sergio Perez future: Bold Red Bull prediction after great F1 2024 start

The Mexican driver's contract expires at the end of the season, putting him under pressure. If Perez has another terrible season like in 2023, Red Bull head Christian Horner says it's his to lose.

Perez must improve this season to make up for 2023. Perez finished second with nine podiums in 22 races despite driving the same chassis as Max Verstappen.

With Daniel Ricciardo, Yuki Tsunoda, and super-sub Liam Lawson waiting in the wings for a shot with Red Bull,

Perez must produce and help Red Bull win another title without the troubles and mishaps of last season.

Perez has delivered in the opening two races of 2024, finishing second in both after making crucial overtaking passes and backing up Max Verstappen,

as planned. Alpine reserve driver Jack Doohan and Fox Sports Mexico's Diego Mejia addressed Perez's form and whether he'll stay at Red Bull in 2025 on the F1 Nation podcast after the race.

Red Bull has a large lead, but he's doing enough. It appears he is two to four tenths behind Max.

When the field does, and I hope finally, come up on that Red Bull and the distance falls down to one or two-tenths, Checo [Perez] will have to close up and attempt to get more out of that Red Bull to keep that one-two.

Eclipse photographers will study the sun’s disappearance.
