The new set photographs for James Gunn's Superman movie show off the villain's entire outfit.

Wearing a black leather suit, María Gabriela de Faría exudes fierceness as The Engineer.

For the superhero movie, which is scheduled to open in theaters on July 11, 2025, filming began last month.

Thanks to brand-new set photographs released today by Just Jared, the villain of James Gunn's Superman has been revealed in full costume.

Cast as Angela Spica, also known as The Engineer, back in November 2023, María Gabriela de Faría is seen filming the first feature of the DCU looking ferocious in a black leather costume and carrying an umbrella.

Many of the pictures show her grinning while wearing a leash and getting ready to shoot

Faría's look differs slightly from what comic book readers may recall or what viewers may eventually see when Spica appears on television.

he Engineer is a WildStorm comics character that was brought under the DC comics imprint.

She is usually shown completely covered in liquid metal, which gives her incredible power because nanotechnology is infused into her body.
