The Canucks, Oilers, and Golden Knights Dominate the Pacific Division in NHL Post-Deadline Grades

One week has passed since the 2024 NHL trade deadline.

THN.com is assessing the Pacific teams based on their post-deadline strength and season goals to complete our look at all four NHL divisions.

From the start of the season to today, the Canucks have been a top NHL club.

In-season acquisitions of star forward Elias Lindholm and defenseman Nikita Zadorov from Calgary have put Vancouver in a strong playoff position and made them Stanley Cup favorites.

They have a defensive depth issue, but great goalkeeper Thatcher Demko can fix most of their mistakes.

In conclusion, the Canucks will be Cup favorites and will win more often than they lose if they stay healthy.

Since replacing their coaches, the Oilers have dominated the NHL.

The trade deadline acquisitions of forwards Adam Henrique, Sam Carrick, and Troy Stecher add significant depth.
