The Princess of Wales, Catherine, declares she is receiving cancer treatment.

In a Friday Kensington Palace video message, Catherine, Princess of Wales, said she has cancer and is starting chemotherapy.

Former Kate Middleton, 42, called the prognosis a "huge shock after an incredibly tough couple of months."

Kate claimed testing after her January major abdominal surgery revealed the malignancy.

Her cancer type and stage were unknown. She thanked the public for their support in recent weeks, saying she and her family "now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment."

Since she vanished in late December, Kate's health has been questioned.

Kate was recovering from anticipated stomach surgery, Kensington Palace stated on Jan. 17

The palace stated she "is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter," on March 31.

However, her absence sparked online princess conspiracy ideas.

The royal family has suffered more unpleasant news recently. The palace announced last month that 75-year-old King Charles III had cancer.
