The Trail Blazers' offence is failing.

The Portland Trail Blazers have been up and down over the last few weeks, providing a combination of promise and disappointment that has come to define their 2023-24 season.

his Blazers Edge Mailbag topic raises a broad inquiry: what the heck is going on? Why can't the Blazers improve? What's the problem with this team right now

I'm sure there are many other issues, but if you had to pick one, what would it be aside injuries? I'm already preparing for the draft and next year, and I'd like to have a clearer view.

Injuries are the primary reason of the team's problems. We shouldn't overlook that.

They're starting what would often be third-string players. No team will last long doing that.

Make sure to generously season this analysis, as well as your own expectations, with that realisation.

If we look beyond that, Portland's main issue is offence. They've gone above 110 in only three of their last eleven games. They won't be able to win that way.

The trouble is, there isn't any food. They can lay the table however they want, but no one eats enough.
