Tonight is the release date for "The Eras Tour Movie (Taylor's Version)," which Taylor Swift taught everyone a master class in smart business without saying a word.

As you are already aware, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert video will be available for streaming onDisney+ beginning today at 9 p.m. ET. It is likely also known to you that parts of the film that were unavailable during its theatrical run are now available on streaming services.

That's also significant since it turns out that the concert's streaming version goes by a different moniker as well.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) is the official name of the Disney+ version. The musician has added the parenthetical to all of her re-recorded albums over the past five years,

so that name should seem familiar. It serves as a reminder to fans that these are the only versions that belong to Swift.

As you may recall, Swift began re-recording her back catalog in order to maintain control over the master recordings. Since you're reading this, you probably already know the tale, so I won't go into the details of how or why it occurred.

The key takeaway is that Swift has a unique understanding of her fan base, which she used to regain control over both her company and brand.

To be honest, not much has changed with the concert tour. Swift has carried out the entire operation precisely in accordance with a brilliant plan. Initially, she embarked on a global tour that has generated over $1 billion in revenue to date—more than any previous tour.
