Veterans of the offensive line and OC Hey there, Shane!"

A veteran offensive tackle who worked with new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron with the Seattle Seahawks is joining the Chicago Bears in 2024.

On Monday, March 18, the Bears signed former Seahawks offensive tackle Jake Curhan for one year.

They signed him as their second experienced depth player behind former San Francisco 49ers role player Matt Pryor, who signed last week on March 13.

In four starts at right tackle for the Seahawks in 2023, Curhan allowed three sacks and 22 pressures and a terrible 39.2 pass-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus.

The 6-foot-6, 330-pound run blocker has experience at both guard positions and has shown promise.

Given his knowledge with Waldron's offense, he might make the Bears' 53-man roster in 2024.

On Monday, the Bears signed former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Byron Cowart for one year.

Cowart, a former fifth-round choice of the Patriots, is another depth signing with one sack and 13 pressures in 691 tackle and end snaps.
