One of the newest and most popular fads in holistic therapy is ear seeds.  

Ear seeds have their roots in Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), where practitioners assert that they can aid  

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the body is composed of meridians, or lines.  

The body's energy, or qi (chi), travels through these channels.  

Needles are inserted into particular sites along these pathways by acupuncture to facilitate the flow of energy.   

Similar to this, acupressure works by applying pressure to specific places along the pathway in order to promote movement.  

The idea is to stimulate your brain's nerve pathways by applying small ear seeds to acupressure points on your outer ear.  

Ear seeding has been mentioned as early as 221 BCE, but because to famous supporters like Gwyneth Paltrow and Penélope Cruz, the procedure has become increasingly well-known.  

Traditionally, the outer ear acupressure points have been treated with seeds from the vaccaria plant, which is believed to have blood-moving characteristics.  

Because ear seeding stimulates the pressure point gently and continuously, it is believed to offer a mobile version of acupuncture.
