The Atlantic Diet is quite similar to the widely known Mediterranean Diet. "It has gained some popularity after a study found  

This diet contains traditional meals popular in northwest Portugal and Spain, according to Goodson  

The Atlantic and Mediterranean Diets emphasise the consumption of fresh vegetables and fruits, as well as three to four portions of fish or lean meat each week.   

 

The Atlantic Diet differs from the MedDiet in that it includes brassicas, which are vegetables such as cabbage, turnips, kale, turnip greens, and cauliflower.
