Paramount+'s Little Wing promises a treat if you only know Kelly Reilly as Yellowstone badass Beth Dutton.
The Englishwoman plays Maddie, a poor single mother whose younger child steals a prized racing pigeon to prevent the sale of their home in the sweet coming-of-age picture.
It was not to show audiences a different side of herself that she took the role.
“I’d just done two films,” she says. “A Haunting in Venice with Kenneth Branagh and Here
, which is coming out this fall with Tom Hanks and directed by Robert Zemeckis, and I thought,
I want to fit in as many different characters as I can before I go back onto Yellowstone.
’ Keeping it alive for myself allows me to strap Beth back on when I return to Yellowstone and feel renewed because I walked away.”
